The Dead by Daylight team announced a delay for their eagerly anticipated new event, initially set for release by the end of February, now postponed until March. This news came directly from the game's official Twitter account, leaving fans both disappointed and curious about the reasons behind the delay.

The developers did not provide a specific reason for the postponement, merely stating that changes in the release schedule are a natural part of managing a live game. They hinted at the need for some final touches, suggesting the delay will be brief. Alongside the announcement, they shared a piece of promotional artwork, teasing fans about what's to come without revealing much about the event itself, including its title or exact release date.

This delay follows the game's successful Alan Wake crossover last month, which was met with positive feedback from the community, especially for its unique perks and the inclusion of a signature flashlight for the Champion of Light. Additionally, Dead by Daylight launched a new Gold Edition recently, bundling all original chapters into comprehensive DLC packs, making it easier for new players to dive into the game.

The updated roadmap for Dead by Daylight also teases a new killer and survivor set to join the game with the March update. The promotional material, featuring intriguing elements like a bird, a blood moon, and reversed gravity with blood rising from skulls, has sparked speculation among fans about the themes and characters of the upcoming event.

Amidst these developments, Behaviour Interactive, the developer behind Dead by Daylight, recently experienced layoffs affecting 45 employees, which might have contributed to the delay. Despite these challenges, the game continues to grow, with a roadmap promising more exciting content for its fans.
