Support for Crash Team Rumble, the online competitive platformer, is gradually ending, with the upcoming content update announced as the final one. This information is conspicuously relayed to gamers every time they boot the game. Nonetheless, gamers can anticipate the game to stay online for the foreseeable future and will soon see a new Battle Pass incorporating all content from the preceding three seasons introduced into the platform.

The company statement disclosed that "the last content update for Crash Team Rumble will be launched on March 4, 2024". Despite this, the primary gaming experience will continue to be accessible, and gamers will be entitled to a complimentary 500-tier Battle Pass that includes an additional 104 features. All of this encompasses material from the Battle Passes for Seasons 1 to 3, along with all currently available event rewards.

Furthermore, the purchase of Crash Coins will be deactivated, however, the current Crash Coins in players' possession can be used to hasten their progress through the Battle Pass. Despite being released in June 2023, Crash Team Rumble met with notably varied reviews at launch and seemingly fell short in gaining tremendous acceptance.

This announcement regarding the game's final content update comes simultaneously with the news from developer Toys For Bob about their plans to split from Activision and become a standalone studio for the first time in 19 years. The California-based studio was incorporated into Activision in 2005 and has contributed to the development of a host of games, including Skylanders, Crash Bandicoot, Spyro, and Call of Duty. The plan to become independent was recently revealed in a joint statement by studio leaders Paul Yan and Avery Lodato.
