Recent news indicates that 505 Games, operated by Digital Bros, is shutting down its branches in France, Spain, and Germany. This decision forms part of the company's restructuring efforts initiated last year. Despite the closure of multiple offices, Gamereactor's recent report suggests that around ten employees will be impacted.

Digital Bros, the parent company of 505 Games, declared in November 2023 that it would be terminating 30% of its staff. This includes an undisclosed number of employees from 505 Games. The company based in Milan stated, “In response to the changes in the video game market accelerated by the pandemic, consumers are now favouring well-established game franchises and spending extended periods playing these games. Consequently, Digital Bros is re-evaluating its development projects and consequently adjusting its organisational structure to adapt to the competitive landscape, ensuring its operational efficiency in the medium to long-term.“

Adding to this, Remedy Entertainment recently bought the rights to the Control Franchise from 505 Games for €17 million.
