PS Plus Premium's April Offering? One PS2 RPG.
Premium subscribers are paying top dollar for Sony's highest PS Plus tier. In April 2026, their exclusive bonus is a single PS2 RPG: Wild Arms 4.
Paying for the most expensive tier of PS Plus gets you everything in Extra, plus access to classic games and game trials. For April 2026, that "plus" amounts to exactly one title: Wild Arms 4, a PS2 RPG from 2005.
The Extra tier, at least, has a reasonable spread this month. Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered headlines alongside The Crew Motorfest, Football Manager 26 Console, Warriors: Abyss, Monster Train, Squirrel with a Gun, and The Casting of Frank Stone. Both The Crew Motorfest and Football Manager 26 Console even have game trials available now on the PS Store, with save data carrying over when the full catalogue additions go live on Tuesday, April 21. The Crew Motorfest's trial is open to all PS5 and PS4 players, while Football Manager 26's ten-hour trial requires a Premium subscription.
But Extra's lineup only makes Premium's single addition look worse by comparison. I keep waiting for Sony to treat the classics catalogue like it matters, and every month it feels more like an afterthought stapled onto the subscription to pad out a feature comparison chart. Wild Arms 4 is a fine enough pick for JRPG fans with nostalgia for the series, but it's always been one of the more divisive entries. Handing Premium subscribers one niche PS2 title and calling it a month isn't a premium experience; it's a reminder that the tier exists mostly for game trials and streaming, not for the classics library Sony once used to sell it.
Push Square's poll on the Extra tier was more evenly split, with 32% of voters happy or very happy and 36% disappointed or worse. The single most popular response for the "most anticipated" Extra game? "None of them, to be honest," at 28%, edging out Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered's 21%.
