Hotel Barcelona's Brutal DLC Drops Tomorrow on Console
White Owls Inc.'s Late Check-Out DLC brings two new environments, 17 enemy types, and two boss fights to Hotel Barcelona on PS5 and Xbox Series starting May 21.

After launching on PC back in April, Hotel Barcelona's "Late Check-Out" DLC arrives on PS5 and Xbox Series tomorrow, May 21. Developer White Owls Inc. also confirmed that Switch 2 and Switch versions of the full game are now in development, which is a nice surprise for a horror roguelite that's been building a quietly dedicated following.
Late Check-Out isn't some throwaway side content. White Owls is explicitly calling it a continuation of the main descent, pushing players beyond the hotel walls into two new environments: Dusk Valley Golf Resort, described as an exposed hunting ground where open sightlines don't actually keep you safe, and The Former Grandall Estate, a claustrophobic mansion designed to suffocate. Seventeen new enemy types, two new boss encounters, additional story cutscenes, and expanded combat mechanics round out the package. The DLC builds on top of the "Under New Management" update, and from the sound of it, the difficulty curve is aimed squarely at players who've already mastered the base game. I love that White Owls is leaning harder into the weird, violent identity Hotel Barcelona carved out rather than softening it for broader appeal.
The Switch 2 and Switch versions will be published by Eden Industries alongside White Owls and will ship as a complete package: base game, Under New Management, Late Check-Out, and all updates to date, priced at $34.99. Those versions will support one-to-three player co-op, up to four players during invasion play, online multiplayer, and PvP invasion mode. No release date for the Nintendo versions yet, but bundling everything together at that price point is a solid deal for anyone who's been waiting to jump in.
