If you watched The Good Place and thought Manny Jacinto deserved a bigger career off the back of it, the Wasteland just became a lot more interesting. Jacinto is one of three new actors joining Prime Video's Fallout for its third season, according to Deadline, alongside Thomasin McKenzie and Emily Mortimer. All three will have recurring roles, though character details are being kept firmly under wraps.

Jacinto is probably best known for playing the lovably clueless Jason Mendoza in NBC's The Good Place, though he also appeared as the Stranger in Star Wars: The Acolyte. McKenzie, meanwhile, played Astrid in The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies before breaking out in Taika Waititi's Jojo Rabbit as Elsa Korr. Mortimer rounds out the trio with credits spanning Notting Hill, Shutter Island, Paddington in Peru, and a recurring role as Phoebe in 30 Rock. It's a varied lineup that pulls from comedy, drama, and blockbuster franchises, and I think the range of tones these three can cover is exactly what Fallout's writing benefits from.

The official Fallout account on X confirmed the casting on June 18, and the three join returning leads Ella Purnell, Walton Goggins, Aaron Moten, and Kyle MacLachlan, as well as previously announced newcomer Aaron Paul. Production on Season 3 begins in Los Angeles this month.

Amazon has good reason to move fast. The show has crossed 100 million viewers worldwide across its first two seasons, making it one of Prime Video's best-performing series ever. Season 3 was renewed last May, months before Season 2 even aired, and Bethesda's Todd Howard confirmed in December that writing was already underway. With Season 2 set in New Vegas and the finale pointing characters toward Colorado, a location not featured in any of the mainline games, Season 3 is heading into uncharted territory for the franchise.
