Unlike some call-downs that can result in team damage, the Orbital Laser is precise, tracking, and easy to avoid to prevent accidental deaths.
How to Get the Orbital Laser
If you're interested in wielding the power of the Orbital Laser, you can unlock it at level 15 by spending 10,000 Req Slips. This powerful tool can be found under the Orbital Cannons section in the Stratagem menu. Here are some key stats to keep in mind:
- Call-in time: 1 second
- Uses: 3
- Cooldown Time: 300 seconds
Utilizing the Orbital Laser
When it comes to using the Orbital Laser, simplicity is key. After entering the correct Stratagem code, you can call down the laser to target enemies. For maximum impact, aim for clusters of enemies or focus on heavy units like Chargers, Bile Titans, Hulks, and Tanks.
Once the laser is unleashed, it will track and eliminate the closest enemy. To avoid being caught in its path, it's advisable to move away as soon as the firing sequence begins. Keep in mind that you only have three charges of the Orbital Laser per mission, each with a substantial cooldown of five minutes.
Pairing the Orbital Laser with other complementary Stratagems can enhance your effectiveness on the battlefield. Consider incorporating Stratagems with shorter cooldowns to balance out the long wait times of the Orbital Laser. To cover a variety of enemy types, you may want to combine it with:
- Eagle Airstrike
- Eagle Cluster Bomb
- Eagle 500KG Bomb
- Orbital Airburst Strike
Additionally, it's wise to reserve two slots for support weapons or backpacks to ensure you're well-equipped for any situation you encounter, especially on higher difficulty levels. By strategically utilizing the Orbital Laser and these accompanying Stratagems, you can dominate the battlefield in Helldivers 2.
