Good news for all the fans eagerly awaiting the season four premiere of The Boys - Amazon has officially renewed the popular superhero series for a fifth season at Prime Video. The announcement came just ahead of Amazon's upfront presentation to advertisers in New York.

Creator of The Boys, Eric Kripke, is returning as the showrunner for the upcoming season. The series, known for its bold and unapologetic storytelling, has captivated audiences worldwide with its unique take on the superhero genre.

In an exciting development, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, known for his role in Supernatural, will be joining the cast in a mysterious new character role, adding to the anticipation surrounding the upcoming season.

"The Boys could be the best job I'll ever have," said Kripke in a interview with TheWrap. "What other show allows me to write about politics, capitalism, family, and exploding genitalia, though not in that order?"

The official synopsis for The Boys season four sets the stage for an intense and action-packed storyline, with familiar faces and new challenges awaiting the team. The world is on the brink, and our heroes must band together to save it from impending doom.

The star-studded cast of The Boys includes Karl Urban, Jack Quaid, Antony Starr, Erin Moriarty, Jessie T. Usher, Laz Alonso, Chace Crawford, Tomer Capone, Karen Fukuhara, and many more. With new additions to the cast, including Susan Heyward and Valorie Curry, the upcoming season promises to deliver even more thrills and surprises.
