Christopher McDonald, renowned for his portrayal of the notorious Shooter McGavin in the original film, told Cleveland's 92.3 The Fan radio show that he had laid eyes on an early version of the script for the sequel. His enthusiasm knows no bounds as he expresses his eagerness for the project, hinting at his possible return to the role.
While Adam Sandler is the only one officially announced to revive his character in Happy Gilmore 2, it seems probable that other familiar faces such as Lisa Ann Walter may make a comeback.
