Grinding Gear Games has pushed 0.5.0b for Path of Exile 2, the second patch since Return of the Ancients launched. Here's the full breakdown.
Less than 24 hours after the 0.5.0 hotfix, Grinding Gear Games has pushed another update. The 0.5.0b patch notes are live now, continuing the studio's rapid-fire response to issues surfacing in the Return of the Ancients league.
If you've been running the Genesis Tree content, this one's relevant to you. The league mechanic centres on gathering Hiveblood to unlock new paths through the Tree, feeding into crafting combinations for currencies and items. Two patches in two days suggests players have been hitting friction points fast, and to Grinding Gear's credit, they're not leaving them to fester. That turnaround is exactly the kind of communication and responsiveness that separates them from studios that drop a league and go quiet for a week.

In Return of the Ancients, gain the upper hand against the Hiveborn and uncover the power of the Genesis Tree to craft valuable currencies and great items!
Inside the monastery of the Keepers of the Flames stands the Genesis Tree, a powerful weapon in the war against the Hiveborn. Stolen from the enemy and gifted to the Keepers by the Dreamer himself, the Tree allowed Ailith to create a breachstone capable of piercing Hiveborn territory. But without Hiveblood, the Tree has begun to wither.
