Dune: Awakening Public Test Client: Patch 1.4.0.0 Notes (6th May 2026)

Funcom's Patch 1.4.0.0 for the Dune: Awakening Public Test Client clamps down on vehicle exploits and patches several loot and ability issues.

Vehicle griefing has been a persistent headache in Dune: Awakening, and Patch 1.4.0.0 on the Public Test Client takes a direct swing at it. Players can no longer disassemble vehicles they don't have landclaim permissions for, vehicles that are airborne, or vehicles sitting close to another player's. The carrier container has also been weighted down so it can't be shoved around as easily. These are small changes on paper, but they close off some disruptive behaviour.

On the fixes side, ability targeting failures and the Tactical Radiation Suit dropping as a standard schematic instead of graded loot both get addressed here. The Boss Arena doors in Testing Station 24 had a delay issue in certain scenarios, and that's resolved too. The Rank 19 progression block for players who betrayed their faction at Rank 20 was already patched in the 1.3.20.1 hotfix earlier today, so if you're on live servers that one's already behind you.

Note that this patch requires a client-side download; restart Steam if it doesn't appear automatically. Here's everything that changed.
