Don't Starve Together Game Update - 736805 Notes (11th June 2026)
The Sanctum gets its final room with a new boss and loot, plus navigation tools and thermal crafting items.

Update 736805 for Don't Starve Together lands today as part of Klei Fest, bringing the first half of the Cursed Confrontation arc. The Shadow storyline is split into two parts, WX-78's skill spotlight took longer than expected, so this update focuses entirely on the Sanctum's final room and the Keystone you'll find there.
The big additions here are the new boss fight and its loot drops, plus a Waymark Compass to stop you getting hopelessly lost in the Sanctum's maze of rooms. You can now use a rope on the Chasm to climb back up from the Ancient Archives, which beats dying on the way out. On the crafting side, Heat Glands from Geothermites unlock new recipes, and you're getting Thermic Tools, Coals as a trap type, and Thermal Balm for healing.
A few quality-of-life fixes round things out: you can mass-dismantle duplicate Curios now, the Ancient Key no longer vanishes when the Gateway resets, and plant creatures burn longer like Wormwood already did. Shadow Hands won't harass Night Lights anymore either. The update is in Beta right now if you want to test it early.

We spent a bit more time on WX-78 skill spotlight than anticipated, so the Shadow arc will be released in two parts. The focus of this update will be on the final room in the Sanctum, where you can obtain the Keystone. For now, taking the Keystone to the Ancient Gateway will just reset the Sanctum.
