The iRacing 2024 Season 3 Patch 3 brings updates and fixes to the game. From improvements in AI racing lines in wet conditions to fixes in pit strategies, this patch aims to enhance the overall gaming experience for players. iRacing 2024 Season 3 Patch 3 Patch Notes:

This Patch Release contains a variety of updates and fixes for the 2024 Season 3 Release.

SIMULATION:

Practice Sessions

  • Drivers registered to an Open Practice for a non-Team event will no longer see the number of “Teams”registered - only the number of Drivers.

AI Racing

  • AI Drivers have improved their wet racing lines on various tracks, especially for heavy rain.
  • Fixed some issues with AI Drivers’ pit strategies.
    - - Sometimes they would stop far far more often than was needed, or at least one extra time on Road Courses.
  • Fixed an issue with multiclass AI Racing where some classes could be gridded in an incorrect relative speed order, particularly when many classes were selected for use.

Controls

  • Simagic 360Hz Mode has been disabled.
    - - We will continue to test and debug to ensure it’s working appropriately before release to the public.
  • The latest Simucube API has been integrated.
  • Fixed an issue where Force Feedback was not being properly enabled with the setting: “enable360HzInterpolated=0” for Simucube wheels.

Paint Shop

  • Fixed a texture seam that could be seen in a helmet paint pattern.

CARS:

<Car Class> GTP Class Cars

  • Windshield glass shaders have been updated.

<Car Class> Street Stock Car Class

  • For the damage model, fixed an issue where these cars were taking a bonus engine airflow loss penalty from minor nose impacts.

Acura ARX-06 GTP

  • Fixes an issue where glass reflections were not appearing correctly.

Audi 90 GTO

  • For the damage model, all damage is now able to be fully repaired.

Legends Ford '34 Coupe

  • For the damage model, the rear bumpers have been stiffened.

Ligier JS P320

  • For the damage model, the break limits for the nose have been reduced.

Mercedes-AMG GT3 2020

  • Fixed a lighting issue with the digital display.

Nissan GTP ZXT

  • For the damage model, all damage is now able to be fully repaired, and the repair time for rear wing damage has been increased.

VW Beetle

  • For the damage model, slightly lowered the amount of body damage that is transferred to the engine.

[Legacy] Dallara DW12

  • For the damage model, all wheel damage states are now able to be fully repaired, and the repair time for wheel damage has been increased.

TRACKS:

Motorsport Arena Oschersleben

  • A floating fence has been grounded.

Oswego Speedway

  • Main grandstand crowds have been adjusted.
    (Dirt) - Grandstand has been adjusted.

Winton Motor Raceway

  • Fixed some visual popping with tire barriers and tire wraps.
