Hunt Showdown Hotfix Patch Notes:
The servers are back online!
During the server downtime this week, we encountered some issues that required immediate attention. We've been working around the clock on repairs in several areas.
Some of the key points corrected in today's latest update:
- Players queuing for Duos being matched with Trios;
- Legendary hunters not receiving additional trait points when the three starting traits don't add up to 11;
- Potential fix for purchased items not appearing as available.
Additionally, as a first step towards isolating our server regions, there is now a temporary requirement that players be set to the same primary region in their clients for invites to work properly.
We've also made recent changes to our matchmaking rating system. We have moved to an Open Skill MMR system, and calculations have been adjusted to reduce volatility and address complaints related to de-ranking issues through soul survivor or solo play, whether intentional or as a by-product of repeated revives and deaths.
This refactor has also corrected many players' ratings that were artificially low or high based on the previous, more volatile calculations.
Star brackets have also been refactored, resulting in a significant change: the 6-star population has increased from 0.2% to closer to 2% of the player base.
