The Batman Arkham Shadow Update, 1.1, brings improvements and fixes, including memory optimizations, progression blockers, and crash bugs. Players can look forward to an improved map, additional Game Over sequences, and the ability to skip tutorials for those who have already completed them. Read the full patch notes below.

Batman Arkham Shadow Update 1.1 Patch Notes:

Today marks the release of our biggest update yet. Among the 1,300+ tasks resolved by the Camouflaj team include memory optimizations, progression blocker fixes, quality of life improvements, and a reduction in crash bugs. Highlights include:

  • Improved map
  • Additional Game Over sequences
  • Additional phone numbers to scan
  • Ability to skip additional cinematics
  • Additional voice message in Batcave
  • Updated character attire in final cinematic
  • Ability to disable visor HUD when crouching
  • Option to disable "Level Up" reminder widget
  • Ability to play back Echo voiceovers from Database
  • Additional points of interest to scan in Detective Vision
  • Ability to skip tutorials for those who already completed them in another save
  • Improved copy at Batcomputer to more clearly inform player they’ve reached post-game

CAMPAIGN

  • Fixed some optional encounters not appearing
  • Fixed save behavior on fade-to-black transitions
  • Fixed triggers preventing content from playing properly
  • Fixed issue preventing Administration door from opening
  • Fixed objects not highlighting correctly in Detective Vision
  • Fixed multiple instances of content repeating when player backtracked
  • Fixed doors closing in front of player when combat triggers prematurely
  • Fixed “Return to Gotham” bug causing incorrect state from being loaded
  • Fixed instance preventing player from retrieving payment for contraband
  • Fixed bug causing restart from checkpoint just before entering courthouse
  • Fixed issue preventing encounter from appearing en route to Beacon Hotel
  • Fixed multiple doors, destructible walls, and vents not saving states correctly
  • Fixed various locomotion and collision issues causing player to fall out of world
  • Fixed progression blocker causing prison cell window to reset after it was opened
  • Fixed instances preventing phone numbers and points of interest being scanned
  • Improved encounter arenas to prevent unwanted AI behavior when near edges
  • Improved visuals in sewers room to prevent players from getting lost
  • Improved path post-Task Force Office to reduce player confusion
  • Improved player guidance at depowered door in Death Row hub
  • Improved grapnel navigation of Chapter 1 construction crane
  • Improved UX of steam puzzle in Max Security
  • Improved VO timing across campaign
  • Improved position of prisoner “Fedje”

CINEMATICS

  • Added various SFX
  • Fixed Harleen teleportation bug during walk-and-talk sequence
  • Fixed various soft blocker issues when player moved ahead of characters
  • Fixed instances causing players to get stuck when gliding towards Gordon
  • Fixed bug preventing players from exiting Detective Vision in final cinematic
  • Fixed bug when player used Gel Launcher during Chapter 3 interrogation scene
  • Fixed collision leading to players getting stuck on railing above Task Force Office
  • Improved material and skinning for various characters
  • Improved Harleen outfit cloth physics
  • Improved character animations

GAMEPLAY

  • Added option to mute VO hints
  • Added missing collectible icons on Rat Maps
  • Added option to remove damage states from suit
  • Added auto-stand when player emerges from grate in non-Predator state
  • Fixed Combat Challenge score exploits
  • Fixed “Cycle of Violence” achievement descriptor
  • Fixed bug that alerted enemies before final punch of an Inverted Takedown
  • Fixed instances when “evade” input prompt got stuck on screen indefinitely
  • Fixed bug preventing UI elements from displaying in Predator Challenge HUD
  • Fixed bug related to Sonic Batarang when used more than once in an encounter
  • Fixed Explosive Gel failing to auto-detonate in combat if player holstered gadget
  • Fixed instances when enemies spotted KO’d allies around corners and above cover
  • Improved Disruptor so it no longer consumes ammo if player fails timing mini-game
  • Improved support for physically crouching, including corner takedowns
  • Improved player ability to complete combos while holding gadgets
  • Improved gaze scan angle for all evidence in Detective Vision
  • Improved Grapnel Gun targeting when crouched
  • Improve gesture recognition for Takedowns
  • Improved Cape Stun punch-to distance
  • Improved VFX on punch impacts
  • Reduced counter timing window on Hard Mode
  • Reduced health in daytime combat in Hard Mode
  • Reduced time for enemies to become targetable upon landing from jump

STABILITY

  • Fixed numerous streaming issues
  • Fixed crash at start of Chapter 2 walk sequence
  • Improved memory usage of LOD2 character atlases
  • Improved memory usage by removing duplicate font atlas textures
  • Improved memory usage by enabling streaming on some UI textures
  • Improved memory usage by optimizing Japanese and Korean font atlases

UI

  • Added updated subtitle text
  • Corrected handful of misspellings in 2D assets
  • Fixed various UI display bugs, localized strings, and subtitles
  • Fixed Jammer icon appearing as red square when not in Detective Vision
  • Fixed bug causing UI to appear during intro sequence of Challenge Mode
