Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth's Platinum Trophy is Deemed 'Impossible' for Digital Players

If you're a digital owner of Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, you may have encountered a frustrating bug that is preventing you from earning the game's coveted Platinum trophy. According to Kotaku, a recent bug in a side quest is causing players to be locked out of this achievement.

The bug specifically affects a late-game side quest where players must beat a high score on the G-Bike Arcade Simulator. However, due to the bug, the game fails to register the score earned by the player, making it impossible to achieve the goal of surpassing the "ultimate party animal's high score."

Players with physical copies of the game have found a workaround for this issue, which involves uninstalling the game, disconnecting the PS5 from the internet, and reinstalling the base version. By loading up a save prior to the bug, these players are able to complete the side quest and earn the trophy.

Unfortunately, Square Enix has not yet commented on the bug, and it remains unclear when a fix will be implemented. This has understandably frustrated many players who are eager to complete their trophy collection in the game.
