If you've been eagerly awaiting the physical deluxe edition of Baldur's Gate 3 for PS5 in North America, you might have to wait a little longer. Larian Studios recently announced on Twitter that due to production changes outside of their control, the release has been delayed until July.

The developer explained that certain processes set by production companies for manufacturing PS5 discs have caused the delay. While they expect all PS5 North American copies to be ready in about 14 days, it will take an additional 10 days for them to start shipping out to players.

Larian Studios expressed their apologies for the inconvenience caused by the delay, emphasizing their commitment to creating physical editions to preserve the nostalgic feeling of unboxing a new game. They are also in talks with the manufacturer to explore options like hiring extra temporary staff to speed up the assembly process.

Despite the setback, Larian Studios reassured players that they are working closely with their partners to manage the planning and production process for future releases, aiming to avoid similar delays in the future.
