Recently, the highly anticipated North American finals of Apex Legends were abruptly postponed due to a major hacking incident that shook the eSports community. According to Forbes, pro players participating in the tournament found themselves at the mercy of hackers who were providing cheats such as aimbots and wall hacks mid-game, completely disrupting the integrity of the competition.

The severity of the situation prompted Respawn Entertainment to take action and shut down the tournament. In response to the chaos, the official Apex Legends Esports account tweeted, "Due to the competitive integrity of this series being compromised, we have made the decision to postpone the NA finals at this time. We will share more information soon."

Clips of hacked gameplay surfaced on social media, showcasing players like DZ_Genburten and ImperialHal experiencing the unfair advantage of hacks during their matches. The clips revealed how hackers were able to manipulate the game, causing distress and frustration among the affected players.

One concerning aspect of this incident is the method by which hackers gained access to a private lobby for an esports final and distributed cheats to players. The ultimate impact of such a breach on the wider Apex Legends community remains uncertain, raising questions about the game's security measures and potential vulnerabilities.

The hacking scandal also brought to light the existence of a Remote Code Execution (RCE) exploit in Apex Legends, which has been exploited to inject cheats into the game. This revelation has raised serious concerns about the safety of players' systems and the potential risks associated with playing EA titles.
